So, let me see if I understood that:-

    Left Wing unbiased = >.....|.....<
    Right Wing unbiased = >..........< |

    Does that seem correct?

I don't know. That right wing one still looks a little skewed to the left

    I imagine Trump will lose.

I also imagine Trump will say he hasn't and encourage another 'day of love'.

I'm trying to imagine the magnitude of the turdfest America will turn into, should Darth Cheeto win.

I imagine him winning, because it motivates me to badger my American friends to vote.

They’re supposedly at 48 - 48, right now, with a slight advantage for Cheatolini in some key areas. I want to believe that the polls are wrong and that a lot of people in red areas say they’ll vote republican for apparences sake and will flip in the booth. I want to believe republican women will rise up, after being clearly showed that they’ve become 2nd class citizens. I want to believe that the silent majority doesn’t want a dictatorship that would inevitably lead to an implosion of the USA. I want to believe there are still enough good folks out there to repeal the fascists. In any case, I’m on the other side of the border and there’s nothing I can do except hope for the least explosive outcome.

    Godspeed

    Fingers crossed @TheBlackSwordsMan

I really feel for my OH's friend, her and her family look with despair at what's happened to their country.

Behind the headlines of crazy there are decent, regular, sane minded people. Let's hope they just get out and vote.

ABC reported on a poll they took, showing Harris with a 4 point lead. No details on the basis on who or which demographic was polled, but it'd be nice to think there was a clear lead.

That is the most patriotic thing I've seen written about America in a very long time.

And it was written by an immigrant.

Meanwhile, Trump is being driven in circles on an airport apron in a him-branded bin lorry.

Yeah, starting to see more stuff about him being generally unsteady on his feet and literally dragging his leg.

In order for change you need a global shift of policy. With what is going on in Europe at the moment and the incredible show the UK is putting on, I think trump back in would be the nail in the coffin for old and would indeed spark this new transitional period. I don’t however think Harris will do that although this is about what is best for America now and most would point at Harris from an external perspective I should imagine but if you look at how divided and close a call the race is I’d argue that neither are particularly good and both will yield a stagnation for 4 years until something else rises to replace them.

A Trump tenure will most likely fuel the want for actual change, An Harris tenure in my opinion would just delay the inevitable another 4 years. The question is does America need it now or can it wait?

The UK needed Starmer not because he’s the best for the job (I think he’s the worst pm we have ever had and we’ve had a right bunch of **** of late) but because it highlighted how out of touch those in our governments are and that something ultimately has to be done about it. That couldn’t have happened with the conservatives keeping power as the grass would still remain greener on the other side come 2029 or when ever it is that the term ends and we would then see what we see how just 5 years later and with 5 additional years of pain.

I hope trump gets in, just to light that fire and get the burn going. I just hope that if he does the rest of the world is braced well enough for it.

Now we just need to wait for Russia and China to break following the cracks of late.
