With Trump it's aways never 'oh that wasn't as bad as i thought it'd be'... it's almost always 'wow that's way worse'

My jaw still won't close properly after repeatedly dropping to the floor yesterday. I think last time he was "taking it easy" aiming for a second term. Now he's in that final 4 years, he's not holding back. The next 4 years are likely to set america back 10-15 years.
Was definitely a Sieg Heil. Fanboys folk are trying to excuse it as "he was giving his heart to everyone", but that's such a crock of ****. That would be with an upturned hand, how you offer anything to anyone. We all know what it was, and why it was done. I have a clip recorded but don't have a method for hosing currently.

His assault on LGBTQ and women’s rights, will set the country back decades. American’s need to learn from this and never vote a right wing populist in ever again. So many have a short memory though, both sides of the Atlantic…

    The Guardian's got a copy:

Note the severe, dare I say Hitler-esque expression. Yeah, that's definitely the face you'd pull when offering someone your heart... if you'd literally ripped it out of your chest.

    Heated gamer moment, innit.

Or it would be, if he was actually a gamer. Can you imagine being the world's richest man, and being... like that? I'd have donated 98% of my wealth to causes I care about and retired with the remaining 2% on my own private island with absolutely zero access to social media.

I thought his fluffers were blaming it on Asperger's...
Or maybe it's the horse-disabling amount of ketamine he's on...

Or he's just a nazi dickhead...

I think it's that last one myself...

I listen to a podcast called “Origin Story”, which describes itself with:

Incidentally, it’s a great podcast and well worth a listen.

They dropped a new episode earlier, the title and thumbnail of which both amused and depressed me in equal measure:

Conservative are trying to spin it as a "Roman Salute" *facepalm and media are like "Did Musk really did a Nazi salute?" because they're incapable of calling a cat a cat.

They've barely started yet - first it's the gender fluidity, they'll come for gay marriage next. They have a vein of Christian nationalist idiots who want to roll everything back to their cherry-picked biblical ideal.

Time for American's to use their liberal gun laws to combat Nazi's on their home soil. Oh wait - they're the same ones who voted them in!

The russian/chinese operation to get Trump elected is the best piece of espionage / sabbotage of a nation state ever performed. Not a single country takes America seriously anymore - imagine saying that in the Obama era!

(yes I know there's no proof it's Russia and/or China behind it but it certainly smells fishy)

Yet to say Russia and/or China were not involved would be equally absurd, the fact is if they were not elbow deep in foreign political espionage (more especially where America is concerned and the overt conflict on going in 2025) it would be the single greatest failing of their intelligence services to date. It used to be a given that you could rely on the same being true in reverse. I'm not so sure anymore. America seems to have reverted to it's old ways, the Atlantic Ocean keeps it clear of European conflict, which is a very dangerous way to be thinking in the 21st century because it's so incredibly stupid. China's imports keeps citizens happy, the cost may be huge but the citizens foot the bill themselves, policy makers get fatter.

In many ways it appears they are just rolling over for autocratic desires and potentially even trying to join the party themselves. There seems to be a huge focus on very personal triumphs, banishing all sorts of ideals and such that really does nothing positive for citizens, just an emotional 'win'. Always intent on fixing how them and their pals were wronged yesterday instead of thinking of the American populous 5 years, 10 years down the line, what they'll need and who can provide it.

Without the shadow of a doubt.

Here's a side by side comparison, in case anybody is incredulous.
It's a question of time before the horde start imitating him in broad daylight.

Nazis - it was a nazi salute
Historians - it was a nazi salute
German press - it was to the point we had to censor it
Russian press - it was to the point we had to censor it
Average person - it was a nazi salute

US/UK Press - What are gestures? What do gestures even mean? Does Musk even have limbs or know how they work? We can never know for sure.

I'm not joking, it's religious extremisim. But it's OK, because it's the "good" kind of 'religious extremism' because it's Christian religious extremism.

I was always taught that extremist / fundamentalist anything is potentially dangerous and not to be trusted.
Not sure how much of JC's original sentiment is left in many of these 'Christian' setups...
