At least you know [not that there was much doubt] that the stupid isn't an act... when the cameras stop rolling, and in private, they are every bit as moronic as you think they are...

its intentional, p2025 clearly says that things like this shouldnt be done through secure channels, because that leaves a trace and people can be held responsible, and so so much stuff is going on outside of official channels now that its going to be impossible to figure any of it out and anyone can just deny everything

this is the entire reason that official channels exist, and also the entire reason they put out so much BUT HER EMAILS!!!! during Trumps first term, it creates a 'whataboutism' that justifies their plan with 'but they did it too'

Yeah but Hilary never discussed top secret offensive military actions via unsanctioned/unofficial channels and she didn't CC a journalist into top secret information.

You and I - and everyone else reading - knows that these two things are not in any way comparable, but... they don't care. Because "but her emails!" creates soundbites and headlines.

Listen, we've talked about this before, whatever floats your boat, man - I'd be the last person to judge people for their kinks.

That is a possibility, but it's neither here nor there as far as accountability goes.

    Addendum
Nothing ever happens to those in GOV. They are protected and act with impunity.

Same happened here during the Covid lockdown parties where we had that Labour curry night which WASNT held during lockdown, but it was presented along the Tory Lockdown parties as a way to pretend like both sides are equal
and large parts of the general public eat the BS served to them in the papers, and asked ''please sir can i have some more''
our only saving grace in this instance is that LESS of us believed the sludge served to us, possibly because GB news doesnt have the reach that Fox news has in the US

But that only addresses the actual implementation of the tariffs, not the rationale behind slapping tariffs across the board in the first place. It was a dumb way to do it, but even if they’d done it in a much smarter way, “reciprocal” tariffs across the board still wouldn’t make any sense economically.

That’s because it isn’t an economic policy, they’re not intended to improve or stimulate the US economy or US industries.

They’re intended as a political weapon: a means to consolidate power and loyalty. Because now businesses and/or industries have to come begging to Drumpf and his team for exemptions, and concessions will be demanded in return for those exemptions. Funding, preferential treatment, political support, lobbying, etc.

They’re not meant to improve the American economy and stimulate growth of industries at home instead of being reliant on imports. They’re meant to increase the power, profile, and wealth of those in charge.

I know that sounds a little bit like the “ackshewally Trump is playing 5D chess and you’re too stupid to get it” bollocks, but I don’t for one second believe that Drumpf and the other high-profile figures in the administration - PedoGuy included - are capable of that kind of thinking.

But the people who wrote Project 2025 are.

Well if you hadn’t voluntarily relinquished your moderator powers and swanned off into the sunset to retire in France… maybe things could have been different… ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
