Hi Guys and girls I am new here, I am running three rigs on Windows 7, 2 eight core AMD and one Intel i7 3930 with two AMD HD 7700, they are all running out of the box and giving lots of nice points, unlike the last time I gave this a go. So last time I gave this a go I just could not get off the bottom end of the team leader board. So this time my goal was the same get into the top 1000 and I have done it in 2 weeks I am chuffed to bits, next goal get my first million points. On a slightly different point can any one tell me why so many of the team members are not active?

 

Just passed 33 million points.

People retire for many reasons, I suspect simply losing interest is the main one. Sometimes even one of the big hitters drops out. But they all remain in the team stats.

 

just broke through 1.9 million, been getting couple betas on my gtx580 which helps too

 

I stopped foling a long time ago due to high cost's and getting a page in the magazine was one of my goals..But I lost lots of hardware aswell back then ....Lets try again ... May not have been folding for a long time but still browsing the forums

 

Looks like I got some good beta work on my GTX 680 while I was away from home, just got home to see I passed 15 million earlier today.

 

I've got a double trumpet here, I'm now in the top 900 for the team and I got my name in the magazine last issue, even if the figure for points was way behind what i'm on now haha

 

When you say "last issue" what month was on the cover? Well done and I look forward to racing you up the table!

Congrats - unfortunatley my farm has been shutdown - with moving house from a place with unlimited electricity to use to somewhere where I actually have to pay for my bills (the heathens!) means my folding has almost stopped 30K PPD down to about 4K

The plan is once I have bought my house ... I will reduce the house heating bill by distributing PC's around the house, so electric bill is higher, but gas bill lower ... thats the theory anyway!

I'm limping on when the PC is turned on for an hour or two though ...

 

I was put up for FOTM a few months ago. Have heard nothing more since answering the supplied questions - I'm wondering if my replies were not good enough
