Wow, I've not checked for a wee while but the small army I've got have cracked the 1 billion points recently!
Around that yes, with an old 1060,2060, 3060 and 3 x quadros tootling along. Mulling over trying PopOS to try and get the best out of them.
That's a very low PPD for such hardware - the 3060 alone should be pulling about 2.5M PPD. Are they only on for part of the day?
All day every day. This is my thinking too. If it matters, it's a LHR model. I think I'll give PopOS a go as it's on Win11 at the moment. I did try something like Mint or Ubuntu but I couldn't figure out how to get F@H to see the gfx card or perhaps I was trying to use the wrong drivers or something. I'm not au fait with Linux by any stretch, knowing only the very basic stuff to get it up to date. edit - I've got popos installed and I've been trying to get fahcontrol installed, but it keeps saying either python prerequisites are not installed, or in the deb install tool it gets a child error 100. I've run apt clean and dpkg config a commands. fahcontrol sort of installs, I can run it from the console, but it shows the gpu as disabled. However, running fahclient in the console shows what looks like the cpu and gpu showing as folding ok?! I'll keep an eye on it, but the install of fahcontrol is fudged and I'm not sure how to 'start over' with it. Hopefully it's folding ok, as I can see when scrolling through the shell output it lists both the cpu and gpu with each their own slot and one WU is being folded/processed very rapidly with jumps of 2 or 3% every few seconds and it's the slot assigned to the gpu.
Some of the Linux variants stopped using Python 2.7, which the v7 folding client needs. I found it a struggle to get them to work when Python 3 was the default in the kernel. You could try the v8 folding beta, as this works in a web interface and does not have these issues. I have had it running on my test machine to see how it went. Went fine. (I use Ubuntu on all my Folding machines, and Windows for the other stuff).
With my last GPU acquisition - which has now been operating for over a week - it looks like I am currently in the world top 20 PPD producers. (Currently positioned at 32nd place in the 'All Users' list on the EOC Stats page).
