I have win xp sp1 wmplayer9 directx9b. After installing tsunami codec pack 3.9.9 a popup told me that some files had been replaced with others unidentified version and i had to insert the sp1 cd. A part from the fact that i don't have a sp1 cd, i just canceled the popup and everything seems to work right but i don't know what to expect now. Anyone had the same problem?
What's happened is the Tsunami pack altered Windows files because certain codecs are actually just hacked up Microsoft codecs that work better now that someone spent some time on them. Worry not young lad, most likely just whining about MPEG4 (DivX, XVid). Those are the most common ones. If it ever asks again, just tell it to go to Hell. And if you ever get asked about inserting your SP1 CD again about other things, and you do want to restore the files, just re-run your SP1 installer.
Aye, usually you've modified the system files in order to upgrade them to a more stable better version. I've gotten said notices when I applied a patch from Micorosft even. It's just the auto-protection agent hiccuping.
Thanks guys. Btw tsunami seems to rock , i had a video file that i thought to be corrupted and now works smooth!
tsunami and sld packs are great. Nimo is a worthless piece of crap that should be sent to the deepest darkest depths of hell.
I've been out of the codec realm a bit, I have teh Defilerpack, is the Tsunami pack a better one, or what ? And Bindi, you naughty boy ogling anime girls is bad for the health, mmkay ? Not the voice of experience.
How does Tsunami compare to the KazaaLite Codec Pack? PS: I'm not looking for a slagging match over which you feel is better... I just want to know what features Tsunami has that KazaaLite's doesn't (and vice-versa).
