Basically I need something small to watercool my shuttle with. This kit seems small enough and is quite cheap too.

My question is will it be good enough to cool both my Barton 2500+ & 5700 Ultra? Would there be a better kit for this or is this one prety good?

Im not into overclocking so both are running normal speeds btw.

Yeah, it'll do it. Expect about 43c (LOAD) at both, but temps with this kit REALLY depend on air temp. Also, make sure the rad has a fan firing right into it - otherwise, consider a lack of airflow.

Dubious to be honest! The TT AqII is a pile of junk!

not necicarilly true. It holds my oc'd 2.6c at 54, and when i had a 2.0, it held at 2.66 at 40.

So long as it cools my hardware and is SMALL (like to see you fit normal watercooling in a shuttle :p) that's all I care about.

    Cheers.

Well TBH I wouldn't go near it with a barge pole. It will probably be worse than the stock cooling in a shuttle.

You could probably fit in a nice 3/8 water cooling system. It will be more expensive but you get what you pay for.

PS your new avatar rawks!!! :D

The aquarius sounds right for your purposes. Main advantage is that the pump is very small and the tubing is only 8mm OD so it has a good chance of fitting.

The only alternative I could offer would be the xice with the external passive rad but thats a different design alltogether.

3/8" tubing is incredable hard to fit into the small spaces inside the shuttle! The bends would have to be quite tight and the chances of kinking are quite high.

    :D

    10mm OD 8mm ID

    Slightly out of my budget!

I do have an aquarius (not in use atm) and it was 6mmID afaik. I'm now running waterchill which is 10mm OD and I couldn't confuse the 2.

Yeah I found that review, but another described it as 1/4" so there's some confusion. In any case I've measured the stuff in the past and know that the radiator tubes are only just over 6mm OD as I'm doing a project on it :naughty:

Of course the small tubing is good news for your shuttle project.

I know it's probably too expensive, but have you seen the Zalman Reservator (in this months edition of Custom PC and on Zalman's website).

I'd like to see a Shuttle cooled with one of them !!

You will regret it and be brandished a noob by anyone who know the first thing about watercooling

You have been warned :thumb: :hehe:

Maybe in a normal ATX case, but in a shuttle its acceptable due to space (or lack of!)

it's good enough. The tubes are 3/8 OD, and 1/4 ID. As to bending them, the springs will let you do it and make sure that kinks = 0. Just watch out with sharp spring edges - i've punctured a tube with one.

So when you're designing a cooling system, you're first though is what otherpeople might think.

The guy want to cool the system on the quiet and relatively cheaply. The TT stuff gives him the chance as it is compact and cheap. Creating a conventional 3/8OD system would be overkill when he has stated that he will not be overclocking and there are severe space constraints.

Why start calling him names because he chooses kit to fit the job?

I'd like to see him fit a 3/8 system inside (no components outside chasis) a full shuttle without some MAJOR moddage.

lol was only j/k:) Yeh it will work but its still a very poor w/c system would not recomend you waste you cash.

edit: and also im not calling anyone names! i was mearly joking that if you tell someone you pc is watercooled but a thermaltake w/c kit your not going to look very good:)

Well I think the look he is going for is watercooled shuttle with no external parts. Any suggestions?

Well I guess he'll have to find a better chat up line then :D
