Hey all! New to the forums, just got a Question for you all I was just wondering if anyone had a ThermalTake XaserV Series- WinGo V7000 Case and a camera. You see i have this involving a PS LCD Screen a VFD screen, a bit of Plexi, some chrome, a bit of watercooling and some other bits (People who have gave me idea's will then be noted, if you havent got an idea already ). But i need a better look at the case to see if everythin will fit before i buy it , I've looked at the Tt website and they show crap pics and dont have the specs i want So if anyone has one could they take some pics at different angles so i can see the whole case, with the front panel open so i can see where the vent is at the front etc... either posting them here or sending them to my e-mail addy. I wanna see if i can mod the case to fit HDD coolers where the front fan is and if i can fit my Rad/Res/Pump at the bottom of the case I also need a few mesurments doing, the board i plan on using is 12"x13" and neep to know how much clearence there is between the bottom of the case and the end of the board, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanx All DeathAwaitsU
dude go to thermaltake website then go to the case you want... click on awards&reviews in the right hand column. theres like 5 or 6 sites that did reviews on that case.. most have pictures
let me tell you something as a Xaser owner myself, i can safely tell you taht you can mod your case to do anything.. that's how you should be thinkin I put a psone LCD on the side window no problem. now i m taking a dremel to fit a heater core where the HDD racks are, and putting a top window for an exhaust fan for the radiator. putting in a reservoir + pump (eheim1048) and 1/2 tubing (tygon) anyways there's PLENTY of room. it's all going to be worth it in the end.. so just take a dremel and mod it. xaser has plenty of room to fool around in
i have a antec crapy tower thing, the same exact case as that TT xaser or whatever its called. all i can tell you is taht i hate it. its an ugly case. everyone has one. and they are huge and stupid looking. the only cool feature is the handle on the door panel. i dont like the little side-holes on the front next to the CDroms where you press the quick-unlatch drive things [only on the antec model, not the xaser one], and i dont like the reset switch. all i can tell you is find a better case. thermaltake is a pile of crap. no offense to you dude, but i recently went to a lan. and i was amazed that outta the 30 people... 13 had the same freaking case i did. i bought my case about 3 years ago when it was brand new (or whenever it came out) and i gotta say that i hate it with a passion. do yourself a favor and get a lian-li or a coolermaster or somthing pretty looking\full tower. they xaser cases are MAD expensive, you can buy the same thing from antec for like $90 USD with a 400w ANTEC powersupply... trust me, those things are overpriced and they have stupid little mods i could do myself for $20. for $170 you could get a much cooler case than that pile of crap. again. no offense. but thermaltake products arent efficient anymore. they are just trying to get pretty at the cost of the coustomer. read reviews about their equipment and you will find that on the average their products suck. *ahem*http://www.bit-tech.net/review/293/2*ahem* so. try and find a case loaded with cool features. a case that not everyone has, and then trick it out yourself like you were thinking about doing. because ill tell ya what, the best cases ive seen are the old AT cases. you can do so much with a full tower AT case that a pre-modded case cant achieve. good luck with your project dude, but please dont buy one of those cases. ill sell ya my case for $170 and ill put a bunch of LEDs on it just playin. good luck dude. and remember - im not trying to be an ass, just telling ya from expierence that these cases are a waste of $$. so welcome to the forums dude. good idea to post a questionare about a case by the way. get peoples oppinions
when i went out looking for new cases about 1/2 a yr ago, i browsed through tons of online shops, and actual stores looking for a really cool case. The only case that i saw that caught my eye was a li-lian pc-82, it looked so smooth and elegant i said to myself, "screw the price im buying it", and so i bought it and even today the case is a beautiful piece of artwork, with its smooth and plain surfaces. it was the most memorable 180$ i have ever spent.
Why would anyone want a TT Xaser case? They are just antec towers with paint and some cheap mods. That and and they have THERMALTAKE in gi-normous lettering on the front, so wow.. not only are you getting ripped off, but your advertising for them too. Its just a giant steel, high tech, billboard for thermal take

Hey all Thanx for the replys, i aint had chance to reply as i started a new job on Saturday and have been busy with that, i get payed in a few weeks so will be gettin the case then, i don't like some of the bits of the case but they won't be there when i've finished either, i know in my mind what 2 do to make it look minted I plan on doing quite a bit of work on this case to make it look how i want it and that will be better. Come on we are in a modding community here do you really think it will still be advertising for Tt when i've finished with it? or that the front panel will be the same? Come on modders use your brains, look at G-Gnome's case, a crappy clear case has been turned into a magnificent mod that people would kill to have, yes that means all you that have been asking for the price for his work lol, It'll probably be about a month before i start my project but i'll be posting it on here when i do, Any ideas\suggestions are welcome and will be taken in2 consideration but for now, Peace
