I have about 15 TTL 2x20 LCD displays kicking around from an old robotics project that I want to do something with. I have them wired up in sets of 4 to a couple of basic stamps. Thats all fine. The one thing that I still need to fix is to get the LCDs to talk to the PC. I was thinking about using a MAX232 IC to convert the signal from 232 to TTL. Good idea? or any other suggestions?

I prefer the max233, as I'm a lazy batard, but either way should be fine. As long as they have a fairly standard controller you should be fine.
