    I have a Sapphire x1900xtx 512MB dual-DVI. I had a MSI x1800XL (XT really) 512MB dual-DVI. I use a 2005FPW via DVI.

I want to connect a composite LCD (or anything composite or svideo now) via the VIVO port/dongle but it wont work! IIRC, I had this same issue on my x1800XL and never remedied it.

When I connect a TV Here is what I always see when using the CP (not CCC):

I've never had this problem when using a card that had a VGA and a DVI port. But with these dual-DVI cards, I can NEVER turn the TV output on.

When using CCC, it never detects the TV. Forcing detection does nothing - I can extend onto it, but nothing ever comes out of the svideo or composite jacks.

Also, when only attaching the TV (no monitor), nothing shows up.

What is going on? It specifically says in the ATI knowledgebase that DVI + TV should work (2x DVI + TV might not apparently, but thats not what I have anyway) so why am I unable to ever detect or spit video out to my TV? Could it be possible that video out just doesnt work on dual-DVI cards?

i'm sure you tried this but i'll throw it out anyway, does the tv have a mode that it needs to be in? On my tv I have to select "pc" from a menu before anything will show up on the screen.

Tried it. Been using a c64 monitor, my 2005FPW set in svideo or composite mode, the LCD I hacked up (originally why I wanted it to work). Never detects, never gets video or even glitches to make me think its doing anything.

Video out should work on dual-DVI cards, I can't see why they would include the port on there if it doesn't. Do you have the most recent version of the drivers? Did this ever work on older drivers? I suppose you could always give the Omega drivers a try, I've never had TV issues while using them, but that was an a bit older card, x850xt.
