Graphics Tv Out Problemes...should be simple please help a fellow nerd

    Hey guys and Gurls, Iv got a gefore 5200fx (dont laugh), and im trying to use the svideo out to a 34cm tv i have, but when i connect it all up...with the svideo to composite cable that came with the card and set it to extend my desktop to the 2nd monitor(tv) the tv just flickers...it works like if i click identify the screen number apears on the scren but flickes and scrolls (at the same time).

    Can any one please help? :)

    have you got NTSC/PAL set to the right one for your tv?

    you cant change it...it uses video players and stuff from down here

    i mean like, if your TV is NTSC, you set your card to output NTSC, instead of PAL.

    TV out settings in the display properties.

    Reduce the desktop size to 640x480/800x600. Make sure its interlaced (i) not progressive (p) output.

    Yepp... Also check the refresh rate...
    Most TVs will not like anything other than 60hz...

    - Not sure how this works with Nvidea tvouts, but your primary monitor may need to be set to the same refresh rate
    (or that may just be for dodgy old ATI cards)
