Something tells me there's about 20 years worth of TV suggested in this thread so far! In terms of how long to watch, I mean.
I think some of us at the office are gonna watch GoT S8 after work every Monday. As for TV shows, how come nobody's suggested Buffy? Best fantasy horror ever made, old-school Whedon!
Don't forget the driver, BBC2 Tues IIRC. It's a comedy about a down trodden coach driver but it's based in Bognor Regis. They literally filmed scenes about 100ft from my flat. Very easy watching and very funny.
Agree with all of the above. There are loads of classic series that you probably have already watched, but if not then this lot should keep you busy for a few weeks: The Wire Breaking Bad The Sopranos The Shield
Mostly repeats: American Gods (I am still in season one and enjoying it) Ascension Babylon 5 Black Books Fringe Sanctuary Series of Unfortunate Event (Netflix) Star Wars Clone Wars Star Wars Rebels (kids cartoon but still fun to watch) Stargate SG-1/Atlantis/Universe (just about to finish watching for the 4/3/2 time) Warehouse 13
Just a quick post to say thanks for all the suggestions! Was hoping for a bit of time to sit down and collate a list before responding, but i will get there, honest!
I personally feel more and more talent in TV shows than in movies for the last 15 years, I've been amazed by the quality of some of them, the stories, dialogs and actors, without mentioning great directors, and if I find GOT above all of them in terms of quality, I also like or liked some others, I won't quote those already quoted but those I didn't see, and not put all those I like but some... Walking dead... is something (if you can endure ) Mr robot first season of True detective 11.22.63 from Stephen King the strain Wayward pines Braindead and People of earth (funny) the exorsist (not bad) the O.A (original) Wolf creek Mr Mercedes except GOT, my favourites are Westworld and also The handmaid's tale
Battlestar Galactica (So say we all) The Expanse Firefly (it's short) Stargate SG1/Atlantis/Universe Babylon 5 Farscape The Star Treks (while I don't mind discovery, it's different) Spoiler: You've been warned! I always felt it should have ended when whats her face died in the bath with their son on the floor in the blood. Not sure what season that was.
Make sure its the original version, I thought the recent version was pants. Nobody mention Daredevil yet with Charlie Cox?
Finished watching Hanna (amazon prime). That was so good, really enjoyed it. it's like an extended version of the movie with equally as good actors and drama. I enjoyed the relationships between the characters.
Wait, you live in Bognor Regis? huh, Small world. I lived in North Bersted for 18 years before fleeing... to Hampshire. On top though, I can't really add anything other than repeating some that have already been mentioned. Star Trek: Discovery had a decent 2nd season i thought, the rumours that ran along side it where a good read. Our Planet, Planet Earth 2, Blue Planet 2 are all Attenborough, and thus; Are perfect Sam
Yup. I grew up in Streatham/Brixton but after going to the U.S for 9 years it was here or basically no one. Whilst I was away my family all performed a runner (I can't say I blame them). I have an uncle in Climping, mum is in Barnham, I've just moved from Aldwick into Bognor and I have various other aunts and uncles in Yapton, Rustington and Littlehampton. I like Hampshire its my favourite part of the world tbh. most notably a tiny wee town called Milford On Sea. I try and visit twice a year but it's not been too frequent lately. That said anywhere is better than Brixton. I do quite like Bognor though it's really started to grow on me over the past year or so. I'm really enjoying Don't forget the driver. Loved the ep where they were talking about the dead person who washed up and said "Parts of him will be scattered everywhere... Balls in Barnham". That's my new joke on mum haha "have you found his balls yet ma?"
