ok.... a small TV table which i am planning to hide some very nice blue LEDs in.. kind of like glowing marketry... i want it to be extremely flush with the finish, and blend in so that you wouldn't know that it was just a normal piece of funiture until it is plugged in the twist is... a cool glowing M at the front but i am planning to stealth the cables really well-- that means custom power connectors etc.. onto the modding... I am using a 4.5V 800mA power supply that plugs into the mains, and then goes into a male molex connector that i can plug into a female molex connector that will be in one of the legs of the table.... i lost my solder last night so had to make do with hot glue round twisted wires to 'solder' them together and then electrical tape round them... looks a bit ghetto at the moment but i have plans to fix that pics when i finish the circuit btw thanks smilodon for help with the 5-Band resistor colour codes last night and same to bard for general advice and help including reccomending smilodon
Hey, that's my table! It looks much cooler now, though. Got an 8000 mcd in there... (And now I have a real camera...)
OK update a la pictures!!! (scuse the cam its only the one on my phone the psu the molex connectors connected:::: unconnected:::: the LEDs off:::: The LEDs on (they are so bright they are reflecting off the carpet and causing disturbance with the cam) And the obligatory NightShot, showing some cool UV reactive highlighter showing up-- i had to hold the LEDs an inch off the paper to stop reflection.... the cable is about 2m in length which should give me enough room to play with for now :d as always.. please post feedback
