    OK, i gota Ti200 64mb with twin moniter output (1 DVI & 1 d-sub)

    - i want to run my two CRTs (one 19" one 15")

    - so i plug them in (using a DVI-> D-sub for the 19")

    - and both moniters show, the same - do i need software to get them to show diffrent stuff (extrended desktop) beacuse can seam to set it with the std Nvidea drivers - like i can with the Radeon drivers,

    sorry to be a bit thick, but this is the first twin display, nVidia set up i've had (others are all radeon based)

    - also, when i play both displayed in, they go darker!

    maybe, you need to set it to "span" mode rather than clone, this could well be the problem

    :wallbash: Sorry but I'm 99% sure the GF3 can't do true dual monitor as they only came with a single RAMDAC. This was yet another thing the GF4 enhanced, even the GF4MX used dual RAMDACs as std. Maybe look for a GF4TI or Radeon card, the GF4TI should all come with dual RAMDACs and are decently faster too.

    Nah, I've seen an old GeForce 2 MX 200 that can do dual monitors.

    Well, i dont 100% know it does suport dual display, but i can seen why else it would have a two outputs?

    - i tryed to check, but i cant find anywhere that mentions about its conectivity - any know diffinantively

    - and as star says, i have also seen Gf2's that can handle dual displays (spanded) (exteded desktop style)

    ;) star882, yeah GF2 could do dual monitor but it was a feature quietly missing from the GF3 cards. However despite the GF2's dual display ability the sw was still poor and there wasn't a std way for it to be implimented (same for TVout), this was addressed by the GF4, MX for GF2 and TI for GF3.

    :( oshta the 2 outputs are there to give people the choice between CRT & DVI, and probably to dupe people into thinking it can do dual display when it can't. A few Radeons also did this, sported 2 outputs (not inc TVout) yet only providing a single RAMDAC. There's also another complication, not all DVI can be converted to CRT, only DVI-I which impliment an analogue signal alongside the digital one. Few cards used DVI-D (digital only so can't convert to CRT) and from GF4TI onwards you should always find DVI-I is used.

    OK, so this card wont do me a extended desktop 2moniter disply thingy with a geforce3 :duh:

    - ah well, NVM, so to waste peoples time on an impostable project :wallbash:

    - also, i can convert the DVI to D-sub (am doing so right now) i just cant use the digital from the DVI - but i havent got a TFT here anyway (nicked the one from the other pc to test it)
