I see devs are still treating Windows Phone as a minority option. Would it really have been too difficult to include Windows Phone with the update? Or is this just a journalistic omission?

I've changed my mind. I've gone from "Meh" to hating it.

Would that perhaps be because in terms of market share they ARE a minority option. Admittedly they are growing but when scoping a recent project Android and iOS apps were a no brainer but for WP its more like call me when they have 25% market share and we'll think about it.

Admittedly Twitter have a bigger budget and can afford to set their threshold for support lower but still the only sensible way to focus effort is where the most eyes are.

I'm on the web version now and it hasn't changed. Are we getting it later or is this just a mobile web thing?

It's changed for me, on Firefox/Linux-AMD64.

EDIT: And, as I hate it, I've crafted a filter suitable for AdBlock Plus and derivatives that gets rid of the damn things. Just stick this in your blocklist and be free of in-line images: twitter.com##.twitter-timeline-link.media-thumbnail.is-preview

Nope it's just the same on the IE in Win8. So has twitter excluded all Windows product from the update?

All I'm getting is the usual list of posts with the photo or video link highlighted but no preview images.

Not all picture links will show. Has to be official twitter hosted pics.

Otherwise, are you blocking any scripts?
