I was fed up a while ago with all of teh square cases out there and designed these two, with the intent to build them.

The first one is reminicient of a step pyramid, and my first play with Maya, I also think it is about the best realistic lighting. Its a two colour, clear upper exposing the cards, and smoked lower hiding the CD-rom, PSU and a opening mechanisim for the motherboard tray. I toyed with the idea of possibly making this thing so it could automattically (IE motorized) where the clear part would fold down, and the motherboar tray, lift up and over. It was designed for ATX and is nearly a staggering Half meter square

This one I had designed with a sfx motherboard in mind for perhaps an HTPs or something of the like, I know thy are all the rage now. Either clear and smoked acrylic or latley thinking anodised metal of some sort. Even a dark wood would probably look nice (for those so inclined) I included a top, side and front view because it is an odd shape. A single fan would grace the whole unit, the center unit would house a (anywhere from 3 ->9" lcd) and the bottom unit the optical drives, legs would separate each layer, but also each layer would be (not necessarily) hot swappable, (more perhaps dissassemblalble, IE having a duct to the nect layer and connection, also being able to stack any way)
I figured a little UV for this one insstead of the normal blue, to keep the glow to a minimum, and save glare, if this is going to be a htps then you dont want that type of thing. IT stands a squat 30 cm tall, and 30cm frontage (the back is 24 wide. I may come back and do this but for now its out there...

I hope someone finds inspiriation in some of these.
