Depending on the revision of the U2711 you get, it has much heavier or grainier AG-coating. On the other hand, the U2711 seems to have alot more uniform backlight than the U2713(hm). It depends on your taste and what you need it for. Some (including me) find the original U2711 coat very "disturbing", others swear by it.
You have the U2713HM and U2712M, which one? Check out my monitor comparison table, for specs comparison: http://www.helpweaver.com/monitor_comparison_Jan_2013.xlsx As for which one is better in terms visuals: U2713M < U2711 < U2712HM The U2711 is cheap now as it's being discontinued, being replaced with the U2713M.
You mean, of course, the U2713H and the U2713HM, of which the former is clearly the better (and more expensive ). Although I do not know how much better than the U2711 it is. For pure looks the U2711 wins hands down for me. Not such a fan of the new "rounded" style used on current Dell UltraSharp monitors.
Yes, I meant those models. I was tired yesterday :/ Thanks for the correction. I agree with you, the U2711, U2410, and U3011 looks (in design) far better than the newer model look in my opinion. And there is no denying that they are also higher build quality (not saying that the new one are not also high quality). As I never saw the monitor in person, I don't know how much the U2713H compares to the U2711, neither. I need user feedback, that has the 2 monitors side by side. From in depth reviews it looks like there is a nice difference, though.
