Not only is that educational, but fun too! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! The only poblem I could forsee with this, is that this material is light enough to be able to be moved by the pressure exerted by light, what about somehting like a strong wind, of even some kind of debris in space if they were to use conventional means of attaining orbit, then using the new technology.
Yeah I was thinking it would be a perfect material for the classic solar powered sail (if you can fold it up and the un fold it once in orbit). Use solar radiation to sail around the solar system . One problem with having an object with such a large surface area is if say a small meteorite of about 1 gram travelling at a few kilometers a second tore a gash through the sail... it certainly would be a shame...
