To date, it has only been disabled in AC2 & Conviction.

But how is it disabled? I went to Ubisoft's site yesterday and there haven't been posted any patches in ages...

I am intrigued by this news. Ubisoft games might...be worth purchasing again?

Never mind DRM, have they put back DX10.1 support into Assassins Creed yet? The only reason i didn't buy this game.

    *facepalm*

They WOULD do it after the Steam sales have ended, wouldn't they? ******s.

Let's hope this is the end of such nonsense from them.

Meh the only Ubi game I fancied was RUSE and it was already using steamworks not that rubbish but it is nice to see they have been defeated even if they won't publicly admit it.

My thoughts here. If they did this back in December, I would have bought AC2 by now.

I kinda need to know if this is disabled as a downloadable patch as I currently don't have internet access while I am hunting for a new place to stay...

Yeah me too. I really wanted to give it a go for £9.99 on Steam, but I exercised some self control for once in my life. :sigh:

hum, HAWX 2 still required an internet connection when i played it last night.

i really hate it, let's hope Ubisoft learns and release Assassin's creed brotherhood on PC without such rubbish.

You need to start your drm'd game with an internet connection active, and uplay will update itself.

Edit: It seems to be quite a big patch, and you will need to login to start your game, after that I'm guessing it works offline.
