Not sure if this is the evil modding conscience inside me or a deep down gut feeling to finally mess with it...but I err accidently snapped off the face plate to my Plextor cd-rw...and it err doesn't wanna go back on. Guess I have to go hunt down articles on how to stealth it ;(
Yah just stealth it WHen I stealth mine Im going to stick the face plate to the tray (As per the normal), but then I'm going to take the LED out of the front and use some hookup wire to move it to the front somewhere... Then I'll do the same from the eject button cept Ima put it right next to the cdrom, sunken in a bit, out of site on the side Should be nice
Cutting? How should I go about cutting the darn drive cover plate? It's only plastic, but I'm not sure if my 10+ yr old dremel can cut it (no pun intended ) I might have to resort to it, unless something else can do the job.
Did you post this in the mod disaster forum? Sorry I just thought it would be funny...except the damage to the plexor of course (can't afford one myself). Let us know if the stealth mod works.
