everyone knows when they're going to sneeze. you can see it coming a mile off. there's times when it's ok to sneeze. there's also times when it's a really bad idea. when you have cornflakes in your mouth, it's definitely the latter. *wipes hands to get rid of sticky cornflake pieces.* has anyone else ever had cornflake related mishaps, perhaps also including the sinuses? AH
You dont always know when you are going to sneeze. Sometimes i sneeze and dont realise i actually sneezed, its like it passes me by without me knowing and it's only when other people say "bless you" or point it out that i realise. Or the worst is when you sneeze when you've just exhaled, feels like your lungs are collapsing.
LOL I can't say with Cornflakes, but I have had some nasty instances with other food. I was eating peanuts one time...it was bad. Bless You BTW.
lol, i dunno which is worse... i keep finding bits of cornflake in unlikely places. ahhhh, i can't keep this up, i've been lying to all of you... they were frosties AH
i've heard this myth that holding your nose can magically reduce the desire to sneeze, dunno if it's true or not.... now why didn't i think of that... wait, spoon in one hand, bowl in other... what's a guy to do... AH
Rice crispies seem to pebbledash the table the best... worst is if you sneeze but hold it in, and you feel the blood suddenly rushing into your head. You can burst a vessel doing that... :/
if you run the sharp bit of your nail up and down between your eyebrows around the bridge of nose... that can supress a sneeze in situation where you know you just can't sneeze..
I hate sneezing. i sneeze so violently. Another annoyance is laughing whilst eating/drinking. Many times have i had drink coming out of my nose or food shooting out of my mouth.
I'm a violent sneezer myself, people who are quiet imo are pretending, but im not sure I can say i hate it, just hurts rather bad if I keep my mouth closed. 'doc
A quick holding of the nose usually works...however I have also developed the skill of sneezing silently, or at least with a minimum of noise, a small snort at the worst. It always seems to fail me when I'm eating/drinking though. So what's better, trying to catch the rogue pieces of broccoli or letting them spray across the table?
it's blatantly all about catching the bits, it's better to clean one thing (your hand) than EVERYTHING. talking of laughing, my old school friends still talk about the time i laughed so hard that coke (-a cola) came out of my nose (yes i was drinking it at the time /south park reference) AH
worst i guess was when i had a pretty bad cold... lots of runny boogies up my nose. then i sneezed and it all came out onto my hand, while at work, serving a customer. i was like "excuse me one second" while closing my hand so they didnt see. glad i held my hand up, customers dont appreciate snot on them. joke: how do you make a tissue dance? answer: put a boogie in it.
Sneeze + soggy wheetabix + person sat in front of you = smack in the mouth *goes off the sooth sore mouth
