    Correct, never has any tax introduced ever been removed, only altered (usually increased).

    But yeah, the UK and France doing this is good no matter how much Trump cries we're picking on them like big old meanies.

    I've never understood how or why decades of Govt. have allowed the loopholes necessary for this kind of corporate tax dodging to exist. But I'm sure they'll come up with some way to avoid it anyway - it's like fines for when corporations do naughty stuff - the sort of money that would make thousands (if not millions) of ordinary people utterly destitute is barely a drop in the ocean for a big multinational. Why not say, OK, we treat you like a person for the purposes of law, so when you are found guilty of doing something wrong, all the Officers and Board members of the company can enjoy a five year break in prison?
