News UK Hardware Knitting Circle Gossip Club Strikes Back

Well after last weeks column was deemed to controversial to publish by my close amigos in the industry, UKHKCGCs brief hiatus is over and we are back, gossiping away to our heart's content....

Reports of the demise of Hexus may have been greatly exaggerated, but not all appears to be well over at that Other Place. Apparently, taking photos of their own is getting too much for some of their reviewers - the evidence, ladies and gents of the jury, is here and, from an earlier Anand article, here... Obviously with Mr Ross on holiday, there's no-one to whip them thar reviewers into shape. Cut off their rations I say.

Positively scandalous.

Not quite as scandalous, however, as the demise of the Overclocking Store. Once a well-loved reseller, now nothing more holding page and some book-keepers, its closure has left a hole in the middle of the overclocking scene. Who will we go to when we decide we want some decent customer service?

Talking of (the lack of?) which, weren't we suprised when we logged in last week to find This chappie registered? It seems the self-styled Don has forgotten his previous vengeance pact against poor Bit-tech and instead, came to show off his Motor. The funny thing is, it appears that Bit-tech is still on the swear filter over at the Gulag - www.***-***.net indeed Oh, the stories these ears have heard...

I am told that those wonderful chaps at Bit-tech are having a gathering next weekend for all their staff members. I was lucky enough to be invited, and I am promised an evening of drunken debauchery. I can't wait.

Before signing off, one last thing. After my slandering of lovely Via lady Claire Keogh in my last issue, what should turn up at my door but a lovely Via board! I guess people do listen to gossip after all
