As title really, there's going to be a lunar eclipse at roughly 22:24GMT if my sources are correct.

Weather seems to be clear and holding in Nottingham.

Any photographically minded people going to break out their tripods? :D (I would but mine's not really sturdy enough to hold the body and lens on it's own sadly)

Who's gonna be casting eyes skywards then?

Don't confuse my recent flurry of on topic non-spammy posts as a shift in the status quo... I urm.. Just have a.. urm.. cold.. yes that's it!

I certainly will be. Shame I left my tripod at home though.

    2244 - 2258 :)

The sky is perfectly clear here too other than light pollution (Ascot) - awesome :D

Really overcast here, the moon keeps disappearing completely behind cloud. :wallbash:

Edit: also it should be bright enough to photograph quite easily without a tripod.
Edit2: or maybe not with it being dark and red. It normally is though.

Well that sucked. Its stayed pink for the last 30-40 minutes for us, so I came inside. Absolutely freezing here too.

That was rather impressive I must say, unfortunately it still had a very distinct one-sided-halo kinda thing to the left, coupled with light pollution.

Plus the annoying amount of screaching kids from over the road. Must refrain killing protocal.

It was pretty clear in my part of Suffolk, even though I live near a town you could see it very well.

Just as I was about to go into bed I looked again and saw it coming out of eclipse.
That was probably the best looking part.
