    Hi all
am getting my MBP in Japan and here they use a US plug
does the interchangeable plug just use a standard figure 8 ?
if so am assuming i can use a standard UK power lead with Figure 8? has anyone tried this?

if i cant use that will have to look for an adapter

    cheers

I'm guessing the charger is similar to the one for my Powerbook. This uses a normal figure 8 with a special connector. I'm 90% sure that you could just stick a normal figure 8 cable in, though. It would look a bit funny though. Why not just re-wire the plug for a standard 13amp UK plug, or just get an adapter?

dont forget to check the power brick. Granted most of them these days are able to coap with 100 to 240 volts at 50 - 60 Hz, But its always better to check.

Besides, i think Japan runs on 50hz 220v? not sure on that one tho.
