It's terrorism - it must be. When it was first reported, they tried to explain it away as power surges. But there's been explosions at Aldgate, Edgware Road, King's Cross, Old Street and Russell Square - which are on different tube lines. And they've also just reported that a bus has been blown up as well.

    Powersurges don't blow buses up.

5 stations, 3 buses so far according to BBC News 24. BMA building "splattered with blood".

Keep your eyes on Sky News and News 24.

News 24 can be streamed online I think.

Nope, quoting News 24. Fox, Sky, CNN, N24 are now all saying 1 bus explosion and 2 buses in unknown locations. The first bus was outside the BMA building, there's 2 fatalaties reported and the roof was blown from the bus, "coating the building with blood". Not quite sure how true this is, but I'm taking it directly from the news channels.

Timing (and reports) suggest terrorism - G8 summit starts today.

I know it's in Edinburgh, but security would be a lot tighter around the summit itself, and the potential for damage is far greater in London during the rush hour.

Maybe a group of people hate the Western World?

I doubt its because of the G8. Thats like bombing London cos there's a summit in Scotland....Oh...wait....

    Dude... think about it.

More security in Scotland because of G8, therefore less concentration on London? Makes sense.

I didn't think the French would be that annoyed about the Olympics.

Cant stream it in work & the sites keep going down...

confirmed the kids were NOT anywhere near the explosions at the time, but everyone is still pretty shook up

I need to get as much CONFIRMED information as possible for a staff briefing... can anyone help please? given our ISP's reliability & also how the news servers are up & down due to load, I need to get as much info as possible which is confirmed.

    Thanks

There's a Live Video feed linked from the main bbc news page but seems to be crippled at the moment due to amount of traffic.

    BOY AND GIRLS . . . . . . .

Question: If it is a power surge then why have I just had a phone call with 1 hour notice to move?

Glad to hear they're safe - unfortunately a lot of the info being reported is "eyewitness accounts" so may be innacurate but I'm sure any relevant info will be posted here as we find it. The bbc news article already posted is being updated regularly, so worht keeping an eye on.
