Sounds more like;

Mother buys car....Father doesn't approve, so both come up with a plan. The whole family gets on TV/the internet/papers....and the little boy becomes a 5 minute superstar.

Maybe i'm just a cynic though.

 

That's exactly what I was thinking, people come up with stupid stories all the time when they bid on my stuff and change their minds, really hacks me off that you then have to pay ebays fees TWICE to sell it

The car is going to get more publicity, coulda been a stunt by the seller. They think "Crap, no-ones buying it, we need to get people to look, I know lets hire a woman miles away to..."

Hmm...sounds like a story to me. I'm very doubtful if a toddler(even if he is a super genius) could perform this stunt.

 

I agree with the first suspicion part but the latter part ... SOME Nigerians are criminals just as some from every country in the world are criminals. Some others from all countries are great people.

 

it was on my local news and they had video footage of the child randomly a laptop arround. Of course its true!!

or... more like, hubby is a homosexual and bought a bright pink fiat wotsitcalled as relief to his lady brain leaks and when wifey found out that someone bought a bright pink girly car the hubby pointed the finger at the toddler. Then of course begins the process in which every disgusting "i wanna be famous" family trys their best to fit themselves into the news between important things about the gordon blair lovefest and the weather.....

Actually the kid didn't bid in the car and win, he simply pressed the But It Now button. Considering how easy ebay makes it to buy and pay for stuff with just a few clicks I definately wouldn't put it beyond a 3 year old kid. Anyway just look at the car, not many people would accidentally buy a pink Nissan Figaro but you can imagine the attraction it would have to a 3 year old kid. And lastly who would invite round the BBC to their home after making up such a bold story up?
