    i justdid the ultimate keybord mod. i wont say anything ntill i get some pis iwill upload in a sec

    ok
    i took the membrane out of my keyboard and made my own keys

    did you smash the keyboard up to ge that out im gonna cut mine up and make a number pad for my Lappy i think should be cool.

    no it all comes unscrewed, but th thing is if u cut the membrane it may not work because the traces all have to be connected

    Yeah EL it or add some LED's under the membrane to light it.

    EDIT: Does this actually work? I could sword that there were little 'pads' under the keys that made the contact on the membrane...

    yes it works, there are 3 sheets to the membrane, bottom and top have pads and the middle is the spacer to keep them from touching it has little holes so the pads join when u touch them

    hehe.. i thouht about doing that last time i cleaned my keyboard.. i lighted it up instead... i'll post pics when i get my digicam.. :)

    i remember reading about a new type of keyboards for laptops.. it was basicly something like that... this type was more flexi though.. just so that you could roll it together...

    Is it me or shouldn't there be a "G" between "F" and "H" or can I just not read your writing?

    I did the same thing awhile ago, but mine was to a crappy compaq usb internet keyboard. Got some stares when I brought it to high school, plugged it in and started typing :naughty: Mine was even more ghetto, no key labels :D ~Davy
