After getting copious amounts of grief from SWMBO I finally decided to do something about the sprawling mess that was my desk/computer.

It started with the entire computer being sat on an Ikea shelving unit, and as more HDDs and cables etc got added another section of the shelving was consumed by computer parts, I really wish I had some before images to show but I think I would be hung if I were to go back to how it was before.

All the parts were cut and dry fit a few weeks ago, which only took 30mins with the saw and biscuit joiner shown in the pics. Today I actually assembled the parts and installed it back into the shelving unit, It now has a power switch robbed from an old case (I've been jump starting it for months with nail scissors :thumb:).

Anyway some terrible phone pics below, I'll take some better pics if anybody wants them (Highly doubtful I hope :D)

    Final Installation.

Total time: less than an hour excluding the weeks between cutting and installing! All it needs a support for the GPU, which will be a 3mm slot cut across the width of the top for the GPU backplate tabs to sit in.

Its not pretty, but it works :thumb:

It is very pretty in its own way :thumb:

Took me a few seconds to work out what SWMBO was. Then I remembered Rumpole.

    Quick: check.
Dirty: not so much. It's pretty clean and properly overbuilt.

The only thing I'd worry about is hotboxing your drives. It should be safe from tornadoes.
