Hi, I am reinstalling the operating system for a friend and have loaded Windows XP Home with SP2. However, there are no network connections showing and when I scan for new hardware it says it can't find the network card. The guy is on holiday and assures me has no CD for the PC which I thought may load the network connections. Any ideas please. Thank you.

Is it a built in Nic card? If not reseed it. Worst case just install a new nic card.

Hi, its an onboard NIC. The problem is there is no Network Adapter showing in Device Manager. Would installing a devoted NIC sort this please?

Try the Asus website for network drivers for the motherboard.
