Slight problem, which to say is causing a little irritation would be the understatment of the year.

    Operating System: Win 2k Professional.

Halfway through the Win 2k screen appears and the operating system starts to load I'm getting a blue screen appear. This blue screen says 'Unable to load device driver'. It says it may have been caused by a recent hardware of software change. However, the only thing recently installed was a divx codec. The driver at fault is:

    C:\WINNT\System32\Drivers\tdisapnpa.sys

Obviously I cannot boot in Windows because of this, but I can however boot into Safe Mode. I've tried repairing Windows through the original disk on start up but had no success. I've now completely run out of ideas.

Obviously I could just format the drive and start again but I only want to do that as a last resort. Therefore, any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Well, seems to be working now. As a last resort I deleted the problem file and to my shock it booted up fine.
