    hello.

So i just finished my little digital picture frame-project.

It's a DPF based on a HP laptop running a 1,6GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM. (i know it's overkill...)

However when this thing hangs on the wall the cooling isn't the best. I'm using speedswitch XP to get the CPU down to 589MHz. However the fan still run for a few seconds every 10 minutes or so. Is there any way of underclocking it even more? There is no settings in the BIOS either (basicly the only thing i can change is the boot order...)

oh, and does anyone know how to remove the "loading personal setings" windows when booting windows? (blue screen with white text and a windows logo.) Some for the "windows is shutting down"-thing.

Are you able to reduce core voltage? There's software that will do it on some boards if BIOS won't. It significantly dropped my temps, stability is a YMMV, mine was fine testing at stock speed.
