    Finally - I can't believe QuickTime has lasted as long as it has. I don't even know of Apple users who use it. I guess you could say it's... about time.

    But, I think these "experts" are taking this a little too seriously. Like really, how often are these vulnerabilities ever actually exploited? I'm vulnerable against malaria but that doesn't mean I have a reason to worry about getting it.

    Whos still using it? I've loathed QuickTime since my first PC back in the days of Windows 98.

    Hmm, I wonder what EditShare is going to do about Lightworks. I also wonder how many people bought a pro license. If I had to guess prolly not enough to cause a class action lawsuit if they don't remove dependency.

    go pro software requires it !!! even though you dont have to encode in .mov

    Have not had it installed for 10 years+. Good riddance, but it would behove Apple to fix those vulnerabilities.

    Finally, but unfortunatelly some software still needed it to process. Hated this one since 90ties.

    QuickTime is awful. I wonder how many systems out there still have it installed, and how many of those installations actually need it to be installed?
