Would do that, but i have to go into my old school to get them! Looking forward to smug teachers and all the lads who did amazing as usual. Ugh, being the worst at a grammer school is rubbish!

Don't sell yourself short, you may just surprise yourself yet!:thumb: Good luck, and I'm sure you will do better than you fear.

Bleh. Chances of me sleeping tonight? Zero to negative...

I've never been so utterly terrified in my entire life.

I slept well that night (Not really) last year. Got up and found out I got into Uni, was feeling great. Went to Uni and left after 3 weeks lolz.

Re-applied to a different uni doing a different course and now am waiting till the 27th September to start!

    But good luck anyway.

Well I don't mean to derail the thread any, but I'm a lot further down the road than you guys and am also feeling nervous at the moment. I applied for another job last week and went to a practical test for it earlier today (at very short notice... I was away on business from Monday and didn't get the letter about it, though thankfully the assessor called my mobile to confirm I could come). I think I did fine on the test, which will lead to 6 weeks of on-the-job training but there are only 12 places at the company I'm applying to and over 50 applicants :/ Thankfully I've got a "desirable set of skills" along with a CV with over 5 years experience in the field and good qualifications, so I have an advantage over the unemployed dudes applying to it straight out of school/college etc. It seems like an awesome post and I really hope I get it :)

    Can I start?

    ASs:

    Chemistry: A (*)
    120/120 - A, 110/120 - A, 42/60 - B
    Overall: 272/300 - 91%

    Electronics: A (*)
    76/80 - A, 110/100 - A, 110/100 - A
    Overall: 296/300 - 99%

    Pysics: A (*)
    114/120 - A, 120/120 - A, 54/60 - A
    Overall: 288/300 - 96%

    Gen Studies: A
    83/100 - A, 78/100 - B
    Overall: 161/200 - 81%

    Maths:
    C1 - 100/100
    C2 - 98/100
    C3 - 97/100
    C4 - 91/100

    S1 - 97/100
    S2 - 86/100

    M1 - 94/100
    M2 - 96/100

    D1 - 100/100

So the equivalent of 6 A*s and one A at AS level (technically it's 5 As at AS and 1 A* at A2), so I'm pretty happy. Technically none of these are converted so I don't have any qualifications yet, only module marks.

You studied Electronics at A level? Holy crap I'm jealous.

Well done dude, that's an incredibly impressive set of results. The work you've put into getting those grades will pay off for the rest of your life, trust me :thumb:

    1) Nice work whichever clever mod merged these two threads.

    2) I just got back from a meeting in town and both on my way there and back I saw so many students from the local schools (there are three higher education centres here, one college, one grammar school and one high school) walking round holding the brown A4 envelope of doom, either on the phone or talking to their friends. It was so easy to spot the ones who got good news (who were smiling, laughing, dancing etc) and the ones who didn't (who were walking around with their results clutched in one hand and their heads down). I really would not like to be going through that again... You all have my sympathy :(

It's quite a humiliating way of giving the results really. Especially during the age of the internet.

We could have gotten ours online but I chose to go in since I missed getting my GCSE results last year as I was in Scottland at the time.

I took the train back from school and passed two other schools along the way but I didn't see any students whatsoever which is a bit odd.

Ending Credits, those are some brilliant results!

I too kinda wish I could have taken electronics, but then again I did four A levels and I wanted to do them all, but I don't think I could have coped with five!

Now that you can get A*s, I feel like my four As from last year sounds less impressive. My CV's going to have to have a little disclaimer, "But this was the year before A*s!" just to remind people.

Ours were available online from 7am - college only opened at 10.30

Got my letter from UCAS too - my place at Birmingham is confirmed  ABBB in the end! :)
