I got BBB, but after phoning Cardiff I've apparently still got in. Now just the check UCAS every 5 minutes until it's updated to say that I'm in.

They tend to ask for slightly higher than they actually require as they don't want to accept more people than the can actually offer places too if results are abnormally high in one year.

    Congrats on your place!

Those are massively impressive maths marks. Well done.

Yea I did electronics at A-level too, about the most fun I ever had in school...!

I look forward, at this time of year, to the Friday night pissups >.>

I kid, of course, I'm too old to do that. Ruddy teenagers.

Gratz to those of you with confirmed places/decent results ;)

    Was your offer conditional?

If so and you've met your offer you should get it in the next couple of days.

Thanks! Cardiff themselves even said that when I went for an open day, but my offer was for AAB so I thought that my results would still be too low.

Oh, and your results make me feel pretty stupid :thumb:

Weird, is your place confirmed on UCAS? I read the "about AS12" bit yesterday 'cause I'm trying to sort out my bank account but I can't remember if it said phone UCAS or the uni.

Speaking of which, I can't get on it. It's not like they Didn't know every single Alevel student in the country would check UCAS today...

EDIT: Apparently there are only 300 chemistry/Eng Lit places availible in clearing.

Congrats on the marks! I did A level electronics and I really enjoyed it, helps a lot I find!

I remember that Imperial demanded to interview me for some reason, and this lady had a big circle around my B in M1, and started asking why I wanted to do engineering when I couldn't do mechanics, so I pointed out the 100% in M2 and that was the end of the meeting

Also remember guys, it doesn't stop at that, you've gotta pass all the years at uni too, unlike school they'll throw you out if you don't meet the grades each year! (I've seen it happen :worried:)

Got into warwick, AAAB for physics :) Still got a "son, I am disappoint" at home though, since my teachers gave me predicted grades of A*A*AA

    Bloody hate that.

Congrats Mankz :thumb: Wouldn't worry about the Physics grades dude, as long as you're in, you have nothing to worry about. I'd hazard a guess that they will teach you what you didn't get in A-Level physics class in one of your first year modules at uni, and if my experience is anything to go by, they'll teach it a whole lot better than your school teachers did.

So, I got my A level results today...

Got BBD and 2 Cs at AS, which I'm fairly happy with. I probably could have pushed myself a little harder, alas, I had more fun and didn't become a hermit. Plus, I'm not going to uni (joining the Royal Navy) so those results are more than enough for what I need.

Easy done - I did exactly the same with my physics A-level. Got near-100% in every practice paper for months, then the nerves obviously got me because I ended up with a C. :(

I think he's in the lovely Londinium.

Congrats to all, whether you got what you wanted or not, you've still done really well to pass A-levels in the first place. Don't forget not everyone can do that.

And yes, uni is hard work. They told me A-levels were harder... Not a bit of it! Probably more stressful because it all happens at once, but not harder.

Anyway now going to study Electronic Engineering at UWE, just glad I got somewhere... I was so stressed out on Thursday.
