School seems to have messed up biology coursework really quite badly (everyone got 50-60% in both AS and A-level), so even though comfortably over 90% with the written papers got an A. Would be nice if it can be sorted out, think the school have already had a lot of complaints so will see what happens.

Otherwise all good, missed out on a D1 in physics (grade above A* for pre-u) by 6 marks but A*A*D1 in maths/futher maths/chemistry.

    Electronic Engineering five!

I'm now in the process of transferring from St. Aidan's College (Durham Uni) to St. John's (still Durham). St. Aidan's were oversubscribed!

Not to put too much of a dampener on things, but you are aware that you won't be doing much in the way of electronics in your first two years at Durham?

Still, congratulations, its a great place and there is much to be enjoyed :)

Yes, and that's the way I want it really. I love programming as a hobby but I know I wouldn't want to do it as a job. I also love electronics, but I'm not completely sure that its the discipline I want to specialise in before I've had a chance to try out the others. General Engineering is an ideal course for me.
