Just on the look out for a new phone, and i couldnt resist the temptation to try for a smart phone with windows and the lot. With WiFi etc etc... However i dont have the £360 for a new one. But i can get it for £185.69 bundled to vodaphone. Can i not just buy the phone, not activate the contract, and unlock the phone?
If so, does anyone know how to go about unlocking a H6340?
    Thanks, guys.
Oh and my first post in "General"

I'm pretty much certain that the contract is activated automatically, thus you'll still be paying the £whatever/month line rental - it stops people doing exactly this ;)

    Curses...
Its like an online store, i mean iv never bought a contract phone online before. But i would have thought that they wouldnt make special changes to their whole ecomerce system to accomodate it?
Any ideas though? Because i dont have the £300 odd,

This is how it works, if you buy a contract you are liable too pay the monthly line rental every month for a year or 18months + the calls and so forth, also if you don't get free insurence with it that too. Also if you accept the contract if you want too cancel it before the 12months is up they will want the phone back off you, you can't just get a contract cancel and then keep the phone or Ebay would be flooded with phones and contracts would be £500 too start one.. Also if you don't have insurence and you take out the contract and cancel with in the first week they'll charge you for the first month and demand the phone back, if you don't comply they are liable too sue you, which wont be nice.

So ignore the Smartphone and buy a 2nd hand PDA off ebay.
