If it had decent gas mileage and wasn't $50,000 it would be more popular.

    Dear god... LOL

Ok apart from the fact that if you did that its not a 360, doesn’t have the power of a 360 and the wheel spacers on the rear completely screw-up the handling - no one is going to be convinced. Keep your money for proper servicing, uprating the engine and suspension, cleaning the body work up...etc If you really wanted to spend that kind of money on an MR2, buy a turbo or supercharger kit and strengthen the pistons/valves...etc (and don’t forget the breaks).

If you want an MR2 get the least played with/modded, perfect, low mileage example for what ever budget you can afford. Drive as many cars as you can to get a feel for them and buy a haynes manual so you know what to check for when viewing.

Dont be seduced by max-power style add-ons.

    ------

Just realized you bought one - looks perfect! Really well looked after (from what I can see).

    Enjoy ;)

second of all, the ferrari body kit they have isnt a 360 conversion, its a 355

not exactly sure but maybe they have body kits for a 360 for the newer ones? but for the one he has im pretty sure theres only a 355

    http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2194912

    it looks awsome

ya i want an mr2, i COULD get one for 1k it has like 120k on it, its been wrecked but its all fixed but ya i dunno, plus im not sure if the guy even has it still

ok well i guess uve driven it already, hows it ride? i hear alot of people easily spin out

There is no way I would put a bodykit like that on my car. I like the way it looks anyway. One of the best things about it is that no one really seems to know how fast these little Japanese cars are. If it looked like a Ferarri then the surprise would be gone.

Anyway it's just totally wrong OK?

I've driven it in the rain quite a bit and on greasy/icy roads. It keeps you awake! As long as you take it easy then it's fine. Just need to stay off the boost until it's pointing in a straight line. The back end still twitches about when I floor it but it's all good fun. Not had snow yet, I'm not looking forward to that :/

like it twitches when u floor it on regular conditions? thats pretty crazy

how fast have u gone in it

btw how exactly do u use ure boost?

i really want one, how much did u pay for ures? (in usd )

ehh i think the ferari kits are pretty sweet though, id do it if i had money but no way im spending (i could only find one for 7000 the 400 dollar ones on ebay were nothin close to ferrari) 7000 for a kit, id rather get a regular body kit for it

but ya it looks so much like a 355 but people would most likely steal it at my school so screw it

u could always sell it for like 50 grand tell someone its a ferrari, just dont get caught :)

Because you want to stay rich perhaps?

Driving home from footie tonight, about 5 miles, I was booting it pretty hard but took the last mile easy so I didn't bother leaving the engine running when I got home.

Good job I forgot to get something on the way home so I went back out. When I got back in my car I could hear the oil boiling around the turbo :eeek: I wonder what temp it takes to get Mobil 1 to boil? [edit: 316 degrees C apparently ]

Will be using the turbo timer from now on. It leaves the engine running for 3 minutes after you get out + lock up :) Keeps the oil circulating to take the heat away from the turbo.
