I get this every time for windows 10 on my tower. its never ending when I shut down and reboot https://photos.app.goo.gl/tiHqgZ8V8ghhCoNt5 "we couldn't complete the updates undoing changes" then reboots and shows same message, to then get to desktop. i7 7700 24gb RAM several drives with enough storage space. SSD as boot. anyone know the solution? google doesn't bring up a solution, but rather just the problem that others also have.
At the desktop does it say something like this?: If so I couldnt resolve mine but it is likely linked to corrupt IIS service: https://forums.bit-tech.net/index.php?threads/1903-update-wont-install.364958/ Go to settings and turn off updates for now.
Only just seen this, but had a similar issue on my machine at work. I remembered reading a while back that there could be an issue installing updates if you have a USB storage system plugged in. I had an external hard drive plugged in and probably my phone on charge whenever it was trying to install. I basically unplugged all the non essential USB items from the PC and tried again. It took 2 attempts I think, but it did go on. I always make sure I follow this routine when installing updates and haven't had an issue since. Apart from this, it hasn't happened on any other machine I own, but none of them have external drives plugged in. Hope you get it sorted
