Though I find its performance fairly good and reasonable range much better than HH3, I am looking to upgrade budget around £200 any suggestions / recommendations?

Would prefer a complete router that I can plug straight in as a straight replacement for the HH5

    Thanks

    DM :)

Are you using the built-in modem in the HH5 or the separate modem?

If the latter then you can buy any router you want so long as it has an ethernet WAN Port.

Hi, I am using the built in modem within the HH5

However I still have the original white BT ADSL modem that fed my HH3 prior to the 5 which would allow me to consider a separate router not sure what is best at this stage so open to suggestions, my budget remains £200 for just the router.

    Thanks,

    Simon :)

Yes it is just a router that I am looking for one that is an improvement over the 5 with USB 3 port/s and a good solid WiFi signal.

    Thanks

    Simon :)

The ASUS RT-AC68U seems to get pretty good reviews, and you can install custom firmwares like Tomato, Merlin and OpenWRT.
I'm in the market for a decent router myself (Virgin superhub for the fail) so keep us posted on what you get.

Beware of the fact that if, like myself, you are on Option 4 (FTTH - 330Mbps) it's Homehub or nothing!

You're probably the only person in the country with Option 4 :p
