Here is a spec of a P4 Pc we have at home

    Mobo - Asus P4V8X-MX
    CPU - P4 1.7Ghz
    RAM - 1GB DDR SDRAM
    Graphics - Nvidia geforce FX 5200 256MB
    HDD - 40GB

I know this is pretty old. It is slow. But my bro wants to play a few games on it. Ex. Battlefield 2

But the PC wont run it. So what is the best and 1st upgrade that we can do inorder to speed it up and play that game.

    Thx

Everything besides your graphics card meets at least the minimum requirements for BF2, find a cheap AGP card (used if possible) that would meet them. An ATI X800 or nVidia 6800GT would be a cheap solution, though the power supply might not cut it..

I can't see any way that you can turn that system into something that can play more than facebook games. It's several generations behind what I'd even describe as old.
