    Hey guys

So I have been using my 3 u2311h dell monitors for Afew months and there pretty great. I paid £495 for them.
However someone has asked for a build off me and requires 3 screens for work mainly.
Now i gave a selection to him and he picked the u2311h for size and price. Now I cant get anymore off my usual guy so I'm thinking about selling him mine for £600 with 2 months less warranty and getting a single u2412m. The new 24" dell. Only reason for this is to gain some cash and upgrade to newer tech.

I wouldn't mind going back to single display at all but Im unsure about the u2412m monitor. Even though i'v read the reviews.

Just need some guidance really. I would gain £300+ and a new monitor. Plus have been recently annoyed at some games for not supporting 3 displays like dead island. I could use the ££ to get a decent headset and larger ssd

    I'm running
    I5 2500k
    Gtx 580 sli
    120gb vertex 3

Surely for single screen at ~£600 you could get the u2711. I'm sure 24" would feel a bit small after 3 screens :D

The newer models the U series are inferior to the old ones.
The panel is lower end (in the case of the U2412M - the U2410 is a true 8-bit panel that can display 10-bit colors (if you have teh requirements (Display Port, compatible GPU, drivers, OS, and software. While the U2412M has much less features, and uses a simple 6-bit panel), it uses white LED, the looks and build quality is less than before. But it's cheaper.
They are still good screens, but less than before.

Ditto. Going from 3 23" screens to 1 24" (even if its a great one) would drive me nuts. Its bad enough when i go from my 27" to a 19" at work, i couldnt survive that at home. Id suggest either a beefy 27" (can still get a pretty good one for that money) or 2 24".

The only reason I have picked the u2412m over the u2711 is price and also aspect ratio
