have 4 choices upgrade wise atm:
Stick with current PC and get a lappy for portability of data (ie can take work home during hols etc....) and wok on the move.
    2. Upgrade to Abit NF7-s and 512mb adata ddr 450, possibly a 9800XT for chrimbo
    3. Wait til summer then get A64 system, with pci express, and a new gfx card etc.... then (possibly A64 shuttle)
    4. Do nutin and save money for another day....

i'm stuck between 1,3 and 4 atm, any thoughts :D
but 2 will allow me to build a second machine (game/netserver)
    thanks :D

    I would go for 3 or 4.

I doubt you will see much performance increase from upgrading your mobo. You might notice the difference with graphics cards but it isn't a huge step. If you really want a faster computer a new hard drive like a raptor might be a better choice.

Do you really need a laptop?
