The 2.4GHz spectrum at my apartment is overcrowded so I picked up a dial band router. I need to upgrade on of my laptops so it can use the 5GHz network. Swapping out the mini PCI card should be easy enough, but I'm a bit worried about the old antennas and how they will handle 5GHz. The frequency is a little more than double 2.4GHz so I don't know how well the card will handle the less than perfect match.
