Well you can get a graded GTX280 (http://www.videocardshop.co.uk/prod...301-0UTCQS@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@&prodid=GX-280N-ZDE) from videocardshop.co.uk for £176, that is great value!
I'm not sure if you have enough juice to run it though, you will have to check out its power requirements.

failing that, then a GTX260 (216 core) (http://www.videocardshop.co.uk/prod...301-0UTCQS@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@&prodid=GX-260N-ADF) can be had for £110, again graded. This one needs 32amp on the 12v rail, yours should be able to supply that, again, you will have to check.

I would highly recommend this card http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?NOV-275 for the simple reason I have one and it's a fantastic card and runs VERY cool.

Price is £199.99 but you get Far Cry 2 with the card, unless you're me and you receive TWO! copies of Far Cry 2 with the card so I sold one on Amazon and got almost £10 for it after Amazon took their cut :D so that card actually cost me £189.99 give or take, I might even sell the other copy of Far Cry 2 as I already bought it ages ago lol.

You should probably look at upgrading the RAM as well, 4GB is the sweet spot these days.

But if it's used which it is, regardless of it being graded I would NEVER buy a graphics card that's been used as you never know what faults it's had in it's lifetime regardless of if it's graded or not, or how far it's been overclocked or anything.

I mean £109.99 inc vat for that "GRADED" GTX 260 is a total rip off in my opinion, for the simple fact it's used and the reasons I've put above.

You can get this for £124.99 INC VAT http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160748 BRAND NEW ZOTAC GTX260 192 Core SYNERGY EDITION 896MB DDR3 Dual DVI HDTV PhysX and Cuda ready PCI-E Graphics Card

but there is a big difference between 192 and 216 cores ;~)

Also although they are graded, when it arrives everything looks brand new and has a 1 year guarantee...

My 8800GT looked brand new, and came in 1 day, plus i made a c0ck up with the delivery and had to phone customer service and they were more than helpful and knowledgable.

With my personal experience I give em 10/10.

    My 2p worth.

EDIT: plus you mention ebuyer, i HATE ebuyer with a passion, they are always screwing up my orders and sending me the wrong things. Yeah they have the cheapest prices but their warehouse pickers can read for ****.

But like I said, there isn't much difference between paying £110 for a used card and £124 for a brand new one!

And even though the graphics cards you mention look brand new, you still don't know what they have been through if overclocked or to what level.

And the difference between 192 cores and 216 isn't actually that much, check out some reviews and you will see ;)

As for E-Buyer, I've never had a problem with them and you say you hate them with a passion, why do you keep ordering from them then?? I can only assume it's because they often have the cheapest prices but why not pay a bit extra at another online retailer and get better service if it bothers you that much?, and I hope that the warehouse pickers aren't reading your orders out because you put that THEY CAN read for **** lol :p

ok I can see that your trying to pick a fight with me but I'm not going to bite.

I'm just writing down my experiences, its up to the OP to choose at the end of day.

Have you ever bought a "graded" card, or second hand computer bits? Well I have and so far its been a positive experience.
You have to remember that not everyone is fortunate enough to buy brand new everything and some of us have to make every £1 count, again I'm speaking from experience.

That's all I got to say on this matter, good luck nit picking and piss taking out of my comments.

You are reading too much into my post obviously, I can tell you I'm not picking a fight with anyone, I am voicing my opinion and am fully entitled to.

Come on you say you have bought many a "graded" or second hand computer parts, but you also say you have bought many from E-Buyer which will obviously have been brand new.

As for piss taking out of your comments, stop being so sensitive or this world will eat you alive!, or did you miss the :p symbol I put at the end of that (which if you didn['t know, means someone sticking they're tongue out) so stop being so sensitive!
