how do i get into the bios, it wont stay on for longer than 5secs, do you know how i can counter that? thanks for the reply by the way, keep em coming
hi bindi, definitely not overheating. artic silver 5 and mounted correctly, it doesnt even stay on long enough to overheat :S
im really sorry, im new to this still and its my first rig. so could you tell me what/where is the Cmos jumper is please? thank you!
look in your motherboard manual for "CLR CMOS" Another tip for any builder. Always read your motherboard manual when you get a new board. Quick goole sez you should have this button here on your board. But again, read the manual for instruction.
It seems from that link that you may have an older BIOS which doesn't support the Q9550. If you have a spare LGA775 chip, you could throw it in there and see if it works, then you can update the BIOS to the latest version. If you don't have a spare 775 chip, I would suggest giving Foxconn a call, they should send you out another BIOS chip.
hi guys, thanks for the help! i phoned foxconn, the technical help have sent out a bios chip, which should be with me in the morning. so i should be up and running by tomorrow afternoon if i get a chance to do it before work . thanks all!
