I need some help - I've just installed my new xp1700 JIUHB DLT3C.

I've booted up into windows and loaded mbm version 5... now here's where my problem comes in...

The temp sensor - Winbond 2 Diode - I was using for the Palamino (xp1600) I have just taken out is giving a temp of 52 C idle :eeek:

If I change the sensor to Winbond 2 2N3904 the temp is 30 C which seems much more reasonable for my watercooling rig with a chip that runs as cool as I've heard these do.

What is going on? I did hear when I first bought the motherboard that there was some problem with it wrongly diagnosing the correct cpu temp but I flashed the bios with one that was supposed to sort that....

I know MBM and motherboard sensors in general arn't the best but should I be worried?

I was really looking forward to a bit of hardcore O/Cing
