Windows URGENT ! How do I disable the Windows Messenger ?

    I keep getting those stupid NET Messeges. I was useing a firewall untill now. SO how do I disable getting messages from the Windows internal messenger ?

    right click my computer > manage

    services & apps > services > messenger > right click disable

    iirc...

    Download winxp Anti-Spy and uninstall MSN Messenger totally.

    its not part of msn messenger, this is a completly seperate service that comes with xp, its similar to winpopup on 9x...

    Think Windows Messanger Doesnt install when u install windows 2003 server.

    Love that system, cos it has none of the junk u want installed, but i had a few problems running games on it, but its a good OS :D

    Looks like that stops net send :) we always have fun at small lan parties bombing each other with net send batch file bombs.
    of course I cant bomb, But I'll have other means.
