Found this website that seems to have a plethora (Oooo...Big word) of plastic and plastic related material for US buyers. Might be a good place to find hard-to-find plastic items. One of the nice things is you can buy sheets of Acrylite in 48"x96" (That's roughly 120cmX245cm for you metric-ites :) ) Anyone purchased materials from them before? Any info on them?

are you talking about these guys (http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/default.asp)? If so, yes, a lot of people in here have ordered from them.

I just got this lot from delvies plastics

    2 sheets of 2'x4' 3/16" UV blue

assorted 1/8" UV panels (red, orange, blue, green, yellow)

Since you live in a nice big citeh, you may be able to find a good local supplier too

USPlastic = very good supplier. I've done a couple orders from them and it's easy to get along with, reasonable shipping. Delvie's is better prices though and has a more complete line of acrylic tools and fabrication supplies (but just acrylic), where USP has more of other platics too (acetal, delrin, ABS, PVC, nylon, etc. etc.)

Delvie's only deals in cell-cast acrylic sheet, so if you are comparing prices, take into account that you are getting top grade material. It's nothing at all like the crap you get at the hardware store when it comes to machining it.
