News US state acts to stop 'spammers'

    The spammers are to get a taste of justice, Lone Star State style. This from the Beeb:

    US state Texas has filed a lawsuit against two men believed to be among the world's top five spammers.
    It is seeking millions of dollars in damages in a civil lawsuit filed earlier this week.

    The Texas attorney general said it started the legal action as messages sent by the alleged spammers broke three laws governing e-mail marketing.

    The company named in the lawsuit denied any wrongdoing and said it complied with all relevant laws.

    However, I have to admit that our AG might not nail this one... but the fact that they have a lawsuit is better than nothing!

    Not being picky again, but two of the top five leaves 3. Perhaps the others are from goldarntootin' Florida?

    OK, a case has been brought, but it will be newsworthy when spammers get really slapped. :blah:

    Taking two out of the top five leaves a top five still... Unless the combined number of spammers in the world is six or less... Unlikely...

    When used in this context it is always one word. And you have to draw out the "damn" part. Like " Daaammnstraight ". And it helps to tilt the cowboy hatback a bit with the right hand while having the left hand on your left hip, just below the gunbelt.

    You obviously don't have a copy of Webster's Dictionary - Texas Edition. Damnstraight is also synonomous with YeahBoy in Georgia, F****n A! in California, and Whut? in Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota. :duh:

    Only two? There are hundreds of spammers out there who send out the junk mail in USA!

    They are not doing enough to track the spammers down.

    My server receives an average 40 to 50 spams per day and it's increasing! Luckly my server filters it out before it arrives to my inbox. :)
